Copenhagen: The Bridge Street Kitchen (Broens Gadekøkken)

June 01, 2018

The Bridge Street Kitchen in Copenhagen, or Broens Gadekøkken, is a newly opened public square featuring street food flavours from around the world from the people behind Copenhagen Street Food. Previously located at Papirøen, Copenhagen Street Food had to make way for new developments.

The new location is in Christianshavn, just across the Inderhavnsbroen (bridge) from Nyhavn.

With seven food stalls and four bars housed in re-purposed shipping containers, the Bridge Street Kitchen is a lively area when it's open.

The area's certainly not lacking in diversity of options.

Pick up some porridge at GRØD or some poké at California Kitchen. Go traditional with Danish ice cream at Dessertboden, or exotic with Pal Pueblo by PMY or MAK-CIK by IBU.

Craving something a little meatier? Gasoline Grill claims to have the best burgers in town (and world famous cheeseburgers!) by focusing on the best and freshest ingredients.

Fuel up with caffeine at The Coffee Collective or gain some liquid courage with booze at Øl Bar.

Inderhavnsbroen, a 180m-long pedestrian and cycling bridge linking Christianshavn and Nyhavn
Cross Inderhavnsbroen if you're coming from the Nyhavn side to reach the Bridge Street Kitchen, or head for the waterfront if approaching from the Christianshavn side.

What's your favourite food stall at Broens Gadekøkken?
